The project is funded by the Ministry of Health within the framework of the Call for Ricerca Finalizzata, Call for Proposals 2016. Three operational Units are involved in the activity: Mario Negri Research Institute (Lead Partner), CIRFF and IRCCS MultiMedica.

The main aim of the project is the evaluation of the effectiveness of an intervention based on Real-World Data, addressed to general practitioners. Such support is aimed at improving the appropriateness of the prescription of Proton Pump Injectors (PPIs) in elderly patients (65 years or older) according to AIFA NOTES.
