Pharmacoeconomics & HTA

Pharmacoeconomics and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) studies are crucial for determining the incremental cost-effectiveness of a potentially innovative drug compared to the standard of reference. The Center’s research areas include pharmacoeconomic and HTA studies as a systematic approach to support clinical and policy decision-makers. The Center leads a range of activities aimed at applying economic principles to drug therapy interventions as well as analyses comparing costs (resources used) and consequences (of pharmaceutical products and services). It thus provides a useful tool for decision-making in support of a more sustainable resource allocation system.
