EIP-AHA is an initiative launched by the European Commission in 2011 to promote innovation and digital transformation in the field of healthy and active aging. Since February 2021, the partnership has been the basis for the birth of the Innovation Networks for Scaling Active and Healthy Ageing (IN-4-AHA) project, which takes over its legacy by advancing digital innovation.
EIP-AHA pursues a “Triple Win” for Europe:
1) improving the health and quality of life of Europeans, with a special focus on the elderly;
2) supporting the long-term sustainability and efficiency of health and social care systems;
3) improving the competitiveness of EU industry through activity and involvement into new markets.
EIP-AHA is based on two main pillars: Action Groups and Reference Sites.
CIRFF takes part in Action Group A1 “Adherence to prescription and medical plans“, with the primary objective of improving the quality of life and health outcomes of the elderly population with multiple chronic conditions.
