Social Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Care

Social Pharmacy is a multidisciplinary research area that applies techniques and methods from economics, epidemiology, sociology and medicine to the pharmaceutical sector to investigate the use of drugs in society from different angles. Social Pharmacy also studies the relationships between patients, pharmacy, pharmacist, and outcomes both on patients and drugs.

Since 2015, part of CIRFF’s research activity has been focused on the area of Social Pharmacy, investigating various aspects of healthcare delivery, pharmacist-patient relationships, and healthcare stakeholder perspectives, using tools such as questionnaires, interviews, and educational interventions.
